    1. Join us at this immersive Institute designed specifically for aspiring international school heads. Guided by AISH’s Standards for the International School Head, you’ll gain the knowledge, skills, and confidence

      needed to step into the headship role successfully. Through engaging discussions and hands-on practice,

    2. you’ll explore the complexities of leading an international school and leave with a clear roadmap for your

    3. professional growth.

       

      A team of experienced International School Heads will provide workshops on leadership topics such as

    4. transition, school partnerships, governance, mission-driven school finance, building highly effective teams,

    5. HOS well-being, as well as other content related to the AISH Standards for the International School

    6. Head. The focus of the Institute is for new and aspiring international school leaders to build networks and

    7. learn together.


    8. Other topics include learning how the process of securing a position as a Head works; what the most

    9. essential skills to focus on are as a school Head; how the Headship is different from the Principalship;

    10. what to do in the first 100 days; and what the most common pitfalls are for a new school Head.

The Institute will take place from July 14 to 17 at Pickering College in Newmarket, Ontario, Canada, just outside of Toronto. This picturesque location provides the perfect setting to reflect, connect, and grow as a leader.

Registration Fee:

  • AISH Members - $1650
  • Non-Members - $1850

Member's Spouse or Guest - $800

The fee includes 2.5 days of professional learning; 3 nights accomodation at the Postmark Hotel in Newmarket, Ontario; breakfast and lunch each day; and  dinner on two evenings.
